Isfahan(?), Iran, second half of 19th century

Fritware pottery with polychrome underglaze painting. Tile decorated with figurative motifs – a symbolic duel between a lion and a dragon, and a king with a falconer. Rich foliated ornamentation in the background. The Persian inscription provides information about the artist and place where it was produced; numeral 132.
